Duties:

  • Work as a member of our Enterprise Leader and Business Partner team to help develop and maintain the HMA way of selling and servicing clients using ART and support the overall strategy of our proprietary platform. Collaboration and teamwork will allow success for our Property Casualty team and the expectation is to see all leaders and business partners work together to establish and build our whole PC team.

Vision and Strategy:

  • Help define the future vision of HMA Property Casualty.
  • Act as a visionary by conceptualizing how process, data and technology could be utilized together and then establishes process, data, and technical strategy for the business. Seek out current and future technologies that can drive success
  • Lead/facilitate the identification and definition of strategic capabilities needed to achieve the vision, with a focus on the customer perspective.
  • Work with HMA enterprise resources to identify the capabilities to be shared across businesses, and with the enterprise.
  • Share the vision and strategic capability needs within Property Casualty and across HMA as appropriate.
  • Remain up-to-date and knowledgeable regarding industry trends and emerging technologies, to assure that new developments are incorporated in future systems of the Company.
  • Develop close relationship with senior leaders within and beyond the Property Casualty business as well as the HMA IT team to execute strategies in conjunction with the development, programing and data management teams.

Project Management:

  • Act as a champion of the customer by understanding target markets and driving process, data and technology to deliver customer excellence
  • Facilitate the definition of strategic capabilities into operational business capabilities, primarily process and data/information.
  • Coordinate and facilitate consultation with stakeholders to translate business capabilities into business and systems requirements for implementations.
  • Ensure requirements retain line of sight back to focus on the customer and employee experience.
  • Develop business case justifications and cost/benefit analyses for capability solutions, including IT spending and initiatives. Establish and monitor the Property Casualty process, data and information technology budgets.
  • Approve, prioritize and control Property Casualty projects and the project management pipeline as they relate to the selection, acquisition, development and installation of major information systems.
  • Ensure continuous, consistently reliable delivery of data and technology capabilities and services.
  • Work with the Finance Business Partner, PC to develop the proper data analytics team structure using our current Loss Information Team and converting them to a total data analytics team for broader information using data.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Align with organizational core values.
  • Ability to act in the liaison role, between PC management and IT team, balancing PC business needs with HMA enterprise needs
  • Ability to facilitate from visionary level through execution in order to establish a plan of action, communicate expectations, and influence and direct projects to advance both business and enterprise/corporate objectives.
  • Ability to create clarity out of ambiguous and complex situations, facilitating understanding and buy-in from multiple stakeholders.
  • Considerable knowledge of business theory, business process design, data management, budgeting, and business office operations.
  • Substantial exposure to data processing, hardware platforms, enterprise software applications and outsourced systems, including but not limited to: Windows operating system, SQL Server, Security, Networking, Cloud Computing, Citrix, VOIP, Virtualization, Mobile Technologies, and Business Intelligence.
  • Ability to make innovative and effective decisions, acting independently, and as a proactive manager within corporate guidelines.
  • Must be knowledgeable of and comply with HMA s Client Privacy Policy, HIPAA regulations and E&O procedures and policies.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor s degree in Computer Science or related field, or education and experience equivalent. Advanced degree in business administration, operations research or computer science is desired.
  • A minimum of ten years experience with increasing responsibilities for management and support of capabilities, process, data, and information systems and technology; as well as project and financial management to support business goals.
  • A minimum of five years management experience, preferably in the insurance/finance industry.
  • Proven experience in process, data, and IT planning, organization and development.
  • Proven leadership ability.
  • Exposure to both shared and outsourced solutions, as well as support of in-house information and communication systems in a multi-site server environment.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
