Sales & Service Representative

Bright Future Management is a thriving new marketing firm in the Waukee area specializing  in the creation of outstanding experiences between clients and both their new and existing consumers during every POP (point of purchase) and POS (point of sale) interaction.  We are in immediate need of a Sales & Service Representative to help our clients generate revenue and build a consumer base in the Ames area through our in-store retail marketing campaigns.  This is a full-time, permanent role and we offer a competitive hourly base plus performance bonuses.

General Duties of the Sales & Service Representative
Duties include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Selling and/or up-selling consumer products and services at approved promotional sales areas within major retail & wholesale outlets across the city area.

  • Providing in-depth product explanations, product demos, and answering customer questions about products and services to assist in positive consumer purchase experience and future buying patterns.

  • Ability to deal with customers patiently, tactfully and efficiently by presenting products & services to the customer for sales opportunities, and completing product/service order activity in an accurate and timely manner. Exceptional customer service will be a must!

  • Accurately computing and tracking customer sales charges, adjustments and balances. Must be comfortable offering flexible pricing options and plans to the customer based on product and service needs.  

Hours of Operation
As our business strategy focuses on providing the best possible customer experience for our client’s brands during the time of consumer purchase, we need a Sales & Service Representative that isn’t afraid of taking on a retail based schedule. We offer flexible working hours between 8am – 9pm 7 days per week!

Basic Qualifications of the Sales & Service Representative:

  • 1 year of experience in a customer focused or sales role required

  • 1-2 years of sales experience in a call center environment or face to face with consumers preferred.

  • Outstanding communication and listening skills

  • Work independently and make solid decisions

  • High School degree or equivalent

  • History of excellent work attendance

  • Basic math skills, data entry skills and sales aptitude (skills test administered)

  • Excel experience preferred

  • Access to reliable transportation preferred.  Travel to retail locations throughout the Waukee area will be a role requirement.

Physical Requirements of the Sales & Service Representative:

  • Sitting/Standing for prolonged periods of time (7-8 hours per day)


Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
