The District is currently looking for interpreters in the following languages:
Bosnian, Spanish, Swahili, Vietnamese and Chinese Position Criteria:
Successful completion of a formalized interpreter program and certification strongly preferred Ability to read, write and speak fluently in Bosnian or Arabic Knowledge of cultural customs of the groups and communities using the specified language Follow ethical codes that protect the confidentiality of information Ability to concentrate and listen for long periods of time Performance Criteria:
Facilitate cross-cultural communication for non-English speaking parents of all ages.
Provide language interpretation as Spanish speaking parents interface with non-Spanish speakers.
Provide written translation services.
Follow-up with parents which may include making phone calls and documentation.
Refer to reference materials as needed to ensure translation accuracy.
Identify and resolve conflicts related to the meanings of words, concepts, practices, or behaviors.
Primary Location All District Salary Range $35.
00 / Per Hour Shift Type Substitute.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
