Terms of Employement:
194 or 196 day contract, depending on experience within WCSD Teaching responsibilities include 7th Grade FCS and 6th Smart Skills (financial literacy) Position Criteria:
5-12 FCS OR 5-8 Consumer/Homemaking Education OR 5-8 Mathematics OR 5-8 Science OR 5-8 Language Arts OR 5-8 Social Studies OR 5-8 Middle School Generalist Performance Criteria:
Use of pedagogically appropriate/best practice instructional methods and a rigorous curriculum designed to prepare all students to achieve higher standards and become lifelong learners.
Preference is given to instructor with demonstrated knowledge of PBIS, differentiating instruction, project-based learning, use of data to guide instruction, standard-based reporting, the Core, and 21st Century Skills.
Commitment to the team teaching concept; including integrated instruction as well as interdisciplinary instruction.
Contributing member of a Professional Learning Community and an understanding of key processes in a Professional Learning Community.
Ability to involve parents and communities in supporting student learning and healthy development.
Commitment to ongoing professional growth and development as described in the Iowa Professional Development Standards and support of the Iowa Teaching Standards as the foundation from which to build that ongoing growth plan Waukee Community School District is an equal opportunity employer.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
